  1. I came to know Christ as my Savior at a very early age. I heard about Him, I knew He was to be feared and not much else. No one really told me how much He loves Me. I didn’t learn this until much later in life. I knew about heaven and hell and the like, but I had no relationship with Jesus. I listened to people talk about it, but didn’t quite understand what that meant.

Through the teaching of some good pastors and teachers I began to grasp this relationship thing. I didn’t fully embrace it but the seed had been planted. Fast forward several years that were filled with heartaches, disappointments, fear, pain, loss, etc., I began to want to know more about God. Who is He? What do I mean to Him? What does He have in store for me? Does He love me as much as I am told He does? How can I get to know Him better?

There were times in my life that no one but God could help me. Nobody had any answers to the problems I was facing. I think this was by design. I believe that this was the beginning of the journey I began in learning to believe that I can trust Him in every area of my life. Sometimes He seemed to move too slow for my taste. So eventually I would get impatient and try to “help” Him. Big mistake. I learned pretty quickly that He doesn’t need my help at all, and when I stuck my nose where it didn’t belong nothing good ever came of it. Most times I made a bigger mess than it was in the first place.

Today through some very, very difficult times I have learned to put all of my faith and trust in Him. This is by no means easy. It never has been and it never will be. But in order to accomplish anything in our lives we have to trust Him and believe that He is a re-warder of them that diligently seek Him. God has done some great things in my life. I have watched Him turn situations around that seemed hopeless on more than one occasion. I have learned to take Him at His word. But it ain’t easy. We not only have our adversary the devil, we have the world, sometimes our friends and family, and more often than not our own sinful nature.

But God promises that we can be victorious in Christ Jesus. I still face troubles, but I know that He is with me. He has never left me nor forsaken me. I have a peace and confidence knowing that He wants to take care of me. He wants to do this for all of His children. That means you too!

    • Praise be to God Michael. God is truly doing a work in your life.
You were purposed for a day and time such as this that was preordained before the foundation of the earth.

Thank you for visiting myblog and your encouraging words.
God is truly in the midst of His people.

Eyes have not seen and hears have not heard, neither entered into the hearts of men, the things that God has in store for them that love Him.

God has great things in store for us Michael. Continue to keep the faith, keep trusting, keep beleiving and know that God is Sovereign and He sees and knows all things. He knows our beginning and our end.

God bless and do remember to TELL THE LORD THANK YOU!

  6. I can identify with all I’ve read above. And this is particularly significant:

“But in order to accomplish anything in our lives we have to trust Him and believe that He is a re-warder of them that diligently seek Him.”

    Very true.
